Counseling Work
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC. I treat persons with Obsessive-Compulsive Related Disorders. I am trained in Exposure Response Therapy, (ERP), a behavior modification approach seen as the standard treatment for OCD.

I also find Inference Based Therapy, known as Doubt Therapy, very useful in orienting the client to the thinking pattern of OCD. In addition, I find classical philosophies such as Stoicism most practical in treating OCD.

Before beginning private practice full time in 2014, I was a counselor in the men’s prison system, a therapist in adolescent treatment centers and a public school teacher of at-risk students.

I also have a work history as a newspaper reporter, a college speech teacher and a Superior Court investigator.

I keep myself apprised of the fundamental findings in the OCD community as a professional member of the Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation. My work experiences and my personal story with OCD, offers a unique perspective toward helping clients in recovery.

I offer a gentle, but honest approach to counseling and sincerely believe all clients can improve their lives, especially if they begin to understand the structure of OCD.

I am accessible and willing to meet you where you are emotionally. I see persons in my office and do home visits as needed. My session fee is very reasonable.
Questions and concerns about OCD and or my approach are appreciated.
